When young, Siam Ruby leaves are bright green with stripes of red; as this banana plant matures, the leaves become predominantly red with flecks of green. Siam Rubies generally get their red color when they reach 12 inches or taller and the deep red color is intensified when given more sun. This is an ornamental variety that's striking color will make you forget all about fruiting banana varieties.
