Up for bid are seeds of the Tupelo tree. This is a hardy tree from the southern US that is very underused in the landscape. This species can grow in very wet areas, and is often found growing in swamps and river bottoms in it’s native environment, but they will also grow well in drier, normal garden conditions. These plants get wonderful fall foliage in shades of red to orange. They are hardy to at least USDA zone 5, and possibly colder. These plants would make excellent additions to your rare plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
